Our milkshakes bring everyone to the Parlour, at least so we’ve heard. When we found out National Chocolate Milkshake Day was on September 12th, we KNEW there was no way we were passing up the opportunity to preach about the history of the milky, creamy, deliciousness of The Perfect Chocolate Milkshake!

Although it is unknown who invented the very first milkshake we do know that “Steven Poplawski invented the electric blender in 1922 just for milkshakes” and that is pretty awesome. (https://foodimentary.com/2012/09/12/september-12-national-chocolate-milkshake-day/)

This unofficial holiday is the perfect excuse to indulge in a tall glass of creamy chocolaty wonderfulness.

Here are some ways you can celebrate this delicious holiday:
1. Drive down to your local Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlour and wa-la.
2. Walk down to your local Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlour and wa-la.

Not near a Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlour? Celebrate at home!
Combine in a blender, 3 scoops of chocolate (or vanilla) ice cream, chocolate syrup and ½ cup of milk…blend, pour and enjoy!
